Katerini, May 15, 2024 – And that makes it two! Another splendid day for Team corratec – Vini Fantini as they notch up their second seasonal victory courtesy of Jakub Mareczko’s triumph in the second semi-stage of the Tour of Hellas.

Despite the challenge of managing two stages in a single day, the intense pace, and the high stress levels in the final stretches of the second semi-stage, which saw a crash just meters from the finish line, the rider from Brescia, riding on the back of an excellent form as evidenced by his recent victory at the Porto Circuit and numerous other placings, showed great skill in optimizing his energy and avoiding risks, managing thanks to the great of the team, to advance at the right time and win this beautiful victory. 

“I’m thrilled about today’s performance – declared Jakub Mareczko – Winning is always an incredible feeling. I knew the second semi-stage would suit my strengths, being short and without significant elevation challenges, and it turned out just as I expected. This morning, during the time trial, I focused on managing myself well and recovering as much as possible. Right from the start of the second semi-stage, I could feel I was in great shape. I tried to stay as sheltered as possible and, as we approached the final phases of the race, I attempted to move forward, although it wasn’t easy given the high pace and stress of the competition. Nevertheless, thanks to the support of my team, I managed to secure the ideal position that allowed me to clinch this beautiful second victory.”
