The Tuscanian rider finishes in 8th place in Pesaro

The Settimana Coppi e Bartali started with a top 10 for Team corratec – Vini Fantini. Kristian Sbaragli finished 8th in the first stage with start and finish in Pesaro.

As today’s breakaway was caught with just over 10 km to go, Marco Brenner launched the decisive attack with 4 km to go and managed to keep a small gap on the group, which was ruled in the sprint by Matteo Malucelli.

For Sbaragli it’s the second top 10 of the season after the one obtained in February at the Tour of Antalya. Tomorrow, the Riccione-Sogliano al Rubicone, will host the first uphill finish of this edition.
